I have a feeling that this fruit is famous worldwide already because of the unusual look that it have and also the taste and smell which for some is disturbing but for others it smells like its time to dig in. Anyway here is some pictures of the Durian which is also know as the King of fruits.

Anyway back to the post. The durian have a very unique taste that some say that the taste is an acquired taste but for some people it just comes naturally. I mean that they came to like the fruit naturally at first bite. Durian is really famous for its smell as it is soo strong and unique that some hotels actually banned their customers from bringing durian into the hotel as the smell disturb other customers who didn’t like the smell. Well talking about over reacting ay.. hahaha
Durian also has its nutritional side. Do u know that its a good source of energy? no? well me too as i just found out that there are a lot of benefits from eating durian and this (Â http://www.stylecraze.com/articles/amazing-benefits-of-durian-fruit/# )website for me provides good and simple explanation of it. oh and yes durian is seasonal. I am sure you will know when the season comes because you will definitely able to smell it if you are in the area! hahaha

Im just starting out with this blogging thing so was thinking of introducing some of Brunei local rare fruits. What I mean by rare fruits are the fruits which are only found in certain places of the world because of the climate in the area and also the fact that the fruits are seasonal.
The fruits which I am going to talk about exist not only in Brunei but also in the neighboring country. So don’t over react when yall read the coming posts. hahaha ;p
Brunei Darussalam is the name of my country. Brunei is not really famous worldwide yet so its fine if u haven’t heard of it but u will know about it after u read this =D
As you can see from the map, Brunei is a small country which is located in the Borneo island. Main financial income of Brunei is the oil and gas. If you are still wondering where it is then just imagine from Singapore by plane to Brunei is just 2 hours. Yes its not that far.
The climate here is tropical equatorial climate which is basically just hot and humid. temperatures ranging from 22-33 degree celsius.
